Verdict

VENETIAN LAD was caught right on the line at Plumpton last time but is 3lb higher. He's done all of his winning around here, however, and should be thereabouts again so gets the nod ahead of Join The Navy, who didn't beat much over 2m2f here last month, and the frustrating Goring Two. Lord Singer has been taking on better company and shouldn't be ignored while there may be more to come from Tarraco but Moulin De La Croix seems to be struggling at present and it may also be worth opposing Red Anchor.
