Verdict

Breaking Ball, Like The Buzz and Small Shots are three against the field in this poor finale and the tentative vote goes to Small Shots. The selection is from a shrewd yard and he would be hard to beat on his debut win a couple of seasons ago but he has had leg trouble since. However, his stable are capable of having one fit after a long absence and in this poor race he is given the vote to score. Breaking Ball rates the main danger on his best form but he was very disappointing last time so cannot be backed with any confidence. Like The Buzz was a fair fourth behind Numitas on his debut and is sure to improve so he is another with place claims. Of the remainder, Mini Saddler is from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market but he needs to improve on his overall form to score and for the winner we return to Small Shots.
