Mayeul, Halcon Genelardais and Megapac are three against the field in this opener and the vote is given to Mayeul. The selection is proven on this ground and he looked a winner waiting to happen when a good second behind Baron Monty at Haydock last time. The step up in trip will also not be a problem and with AP McCoy booked to do the steering he should take plenty of beating. Megapec made a pleasing debut but was then a little disappointing last time and as he has no form on this softer surface he is probably best watched, even though he remains unexposed.
