Verdict

Wiesenfurst is likely to be in warm order for another weak handicap chase but we're going to take a chance with Michael Scudamore's JACKSONS PIER after his encouraging run last time while Littleton Aldor is the obvious other danger. The pick's second to a subsequent winner last time was his best form in ages and a repeat would probably be good enough with the suggestion that the assessor is beginning to get to Wiesenfurst. Gary Moore's runner has found just the one too good in both chase starts to date but looked like the winner last time until mucking up at the last. He has every chance of going close again but the handicapper isn't doing him any favours at present. Littleton Aldor loves to try to make all and although he put in a decent effort last time his jumping isn't always up to the task which is just enough to put us off. The one for each-way punters might be Jose Bove with that one making a debut for Henrietta Knight but Jackson's Pier is our choice on the proviso he repeats his last performance.
