Verdict

A small field where preference is for chasing debutant CITY HEIGHTS ahead of Chapel Flowers and Baron De Doc in a very winnable race. Timmy Murphy is a good jockey booking for this David Arbuthnot-trained gelding who comes here after a good handicap hurdle win at Taunton. He is related to chase winners and this former point-to-pointer is sure to have been well-schooled. Baron De Doc and Chapel Flowers give Tim Vaughan a strong hand and the pick of the pair may be the latter. This son of Pistolet Bleu flopped at Huntingdon last time out but is rated a big player on his previous chasing wins on good ground. Baron De Doc knows how to fill the places but he only has one win to his name and is therefore taken on. Tchang Goon may improve for fences and the booking of Jamie Moore catches the eye so watch the market for support, however it is fellow chasing newcomer City Heights who is preferred.
