In depth

Verdict

ALWAYS BOLD was a comfortable winner over C&D 10 days ago. This is a better race and he has a penalty to carry today but Martin Keighley's gelding is still remarkably well treated on his old form and can post a follow up. Tiger Line has proved very consistent lately but is probably in the handicapper's grip now, though should confirm September's running at Newton Abbot with Kristoffersen. Orion Express is back up in the weights after winning at Taunton, though will handle today's softer ground and has been kept busy unlike Madame Jasmine and My Matilda. The latter is lightly-raced, however, and shouldn't be ignored if attracting market support.
