Verdict

Up The Glen has a 7lb penalty to carry for his win in a handicap off a mark of 100 at Wetherby last time and may struggle to concede the weight to chasing debutante Rodolfo, who is marginally preferred to One For Me. The last mentioned was a progressive performer over hurdles last term winning handicaps at Fontwell, Exeter and Wincanton, victories that saw the mare go up 32lbs in the weights. Not surprisingly the six-year-old struggled after that leaving connections little option but to go chasing and the mare looked far from natural on her first start over the larger obstacles at Ludlow recently. The vote then goes to Oliver Sherwood's Rodolfo, who has looked a chaser in the making since scoring in a bumper on his racecourse debut. Unexposed over hurdles after just three starts over timber, it is interesting that the son of Tragic Role is being put over fences so soon and he gets the vote. The remainder look a pretty moderate bunch with the Seamus Mullins-trained Mutadarra probably the pick of them in a race that is taken to go to Rodolfo.
