Verdict

Aidan O'Brien and Dermot Weld have each won this three times in the last ten years. The former runs the newcomer Landofhopeandglory, a 260,000gns son of High Chaparral who is entered in all the major juvenile races. He's obviously one to keep an eye on but Weld's KITTEN LOVES ROSES looks the one to be on. He made his debut in a very strong Curragh maiden in June when receiving little support be he shaped with enough promise to suggest he'd do better next time and this looks his chance. Jaafy also made his debut in a strong maiden at Gowran when looking in need of the experience so he should do better as should Quids In after a promising start at Roscommon. David Wachman saddles a pair of expensive newcomers in Aa Bee See and Alaskan Son with the former, a 390,000gns half-brother to a USA Grade 2 winner, looking a very interesting prospect.
