Verdict

Benkei invariably runs well at the fixture as he did earlier in the week behind Whiskey Sour so he should make a bold bid. Digeanta finished ahead of him in that race on Monday and last year's Irish Cesarewitch winner is greatly respected though may find this just too short. His stable companion RENNETI may prove the answer as though he's better known as a hurdler these days he had the pace to win over 1m4f at Naas in October and will relish the conditions. Savannah Storm is lightly-raced and entitled to make more progress than most of these and though Vigil has never fulfilled his enormous potential he'd be perfectly capable of winning this at his best and the going will be ideal. Motherland, who won a handicap by 17l at last year's meeting here, has been competing at Listed level so this represents a drop in class and he's another who can get involved as can Ted Veale, who has run some cracking races at this meeting in the past.
