Verdict

Shanwalla has done well since returning from a lengthy absence but has more than enough weight to shoulder. Klassy Kay scored easily in a lady riders' handicap at Wexford and her turn of foot should see her competitive in this better race, although a 10lb rise looks severe. Guiri has no problem with handling large-field handicaps and is respected as are recent winners Molly Wedger and Summer Tide. Teescomponentsyess has proved a useful acquisition for the Hanlon team and should run his race but this could be one for Dermot Weld with DALTON HIGHWAY. Jack Kennedy is an eye-catching booking for the gelding who remains lightly-raced over timber and landed a competitive 2m Curragh handicap latterly - this may well have been the plan for some time.
