In depth

Verdict

LUCKY PASS landed a point-to-point in emphatic style before making a winning start in a Fairyhouse bumper then followed up in a better race at Leopardstown. He hasn't run for almost two years but that's rarely a problem for one from this yard and he could be an exciting prospect. Laverteen won a Navan bumper in March and made a fair start over timber at Gowran where he made a couple of mistakes. His jumping will have been ironed out and he rates a threat. Sir Bob easily won a point-to-point in March and his trainer does well with similar types while Settimo Milanese ran an incredible race for a 100/1 chance when chasing home Arvico Bleu at Clonmel.
