Verdict

Andy Slattery is having a tremendous season and has already won a premier handicap and a Listed contest at this fixture. He may not have finished yet as Sir Dreamalot has improved with every run and had no problems with this trip on soft ground at Sligo. Gavin Cromwell is another going well and the stable had a winner here with Plain Talking on Wednesday. Famous Milly represents the yard this time and though a couple of pounds out of the handicap she looked an improving filly at Down Royal. Aidan O'Brien runs a pair and though Sir Edwin Landseer has been beaten at short odds on his last two starts he was only caught close home on very heavy going at Roscommon so should make a bold bid. The winner of that race, Randall Stevens, battled on well and with his young rider able to claim 7lb he will be difficult to beat. FIREY SPEECH (NAP) came through strongly to catch Sportsmanship at Naas and the runner-up boosted the form next time. Dermot Weld's colt looks a cut above handicap company and can prove it by carrying top weight to victory.
