In depth

Verdict

There are concerns about Strategic Mover's ability to handle the ground so we'll award our vote to Lush but we also respect the chance of East Drive. The selection's best performance came on debut at this track in May and she was sent off a well-backed favourite to land a Newbury maiden on her next start but could only finish fifth behind leading Guineas fancy Muthabara. She ran well on her return to action at Newmarket and is fancied to step up on that effort this afternoon. Strategic Mover ran in Listed company on his second start before disappointing over a mile here on his final outing of the season. He has an American pedigree and has only raced on fast ground; with so many concerns he's worth opposing. East Drive was ultimately beaten quite a long way on debut but he travelled well for a long way and can be expected to leave that form behind in due course. Market confidence behind his chances would look significant; that would also be the case with the well bred debutante, Siren Sound, but we're happy to side with Lush for the time being.
