Verdict

ELLIPTICAL will be a warm order following a good run at the weekend but supporters may find that there's a cloud on the horizon in the form of Cumulus Nimbus with Kavachi also feared. The selection won his maiden over ten furlongs on his only previous visit to the track so will clearly act here and he comes here in, arguably, the form of his life having only narrowly failed to collect a valuable prize at the Guineas meeting; he should go close. Kavachi is the only other course winner in the line-up and the experienced campaigner has plenty of form to his name which suggests that he should be a live threat with a satisfactory return to action in the City and Suburban under his belt. Cumulus Nimbus failed to win following a successful debut but he ran plenty of solid races in defeat and looks sure to improve over this sort of trip and beyond through this season. Tudor Key made most when winning at Windsor so should be in the right position to give it his best shot whilst cheekpieces may bring about a better showing from Gumnd but preference is for Elliptical.
