Alablaq went up 8lb for scoring at Newbury but has continued to run well at a higher level than this. Global Esteem has won five races and is well up to this level at his best while Delorean started favourite for a Haydock handicap on the back on a victory there but ran poorly. This is the right trip and level for CELTIC EMPRESS, who won a course and distance handicap in August before finding Class 2 company and a 5lb rise too much for her at Ascot. Stately Home has had 17 starts but could still be improving judging by his latest run over track and trip while Mystery Fox, a winner over 7f on soft ground a year ago, would be a threat if the going eases further.
