Verdict

The expensively purchased Gwen John could be the answer to this conundrum although Woman In White and Nazzwah are sure to have their supporters. Gwen John is related to a number of milers on pedigree and the fact that Steve Drowne has been booked should serve notice that the Morrison team are confident of a bold showing first time up. Woman In White found 7f to be on the sharp side last time out and gave the impression that the increase up to this trip should hold no fears. and as her dam won the Irish Guineas, she should be watched closely tonight. Jockey bookings suggest Nazzwah to be the pick of the Mick Channon pair. She is doubtlessly well bred but her half-sister Digdaga was nothing special and on the book, there is plenty to find. Goodwood Finesse was pitched in against Salford City last year but there looks to be nothing of that ilk here. Gwen John is our pick.
