    Verdict

FOSSA is without a win on Turf but we'll keep faith with Dean Ivory's gelding on the grounds that he is potentially well treated in relation to his mark on artificial surfaces. Ada Lovelace won in style at Yarmouth and it's hard not to think that the handicapper will give her a fair hike up the weights for that victory. John Gallagher predictably gives her a quick reappearance and she is sure to be a popular order. Bayleyf was a high class juvenile when trained by John Best but he paid the penalty for that with the handicapper - he races off a mark 22lb lower than the one off which he contested the 2012 Stewards' Cup. Rigoletto would prefer a little more give in the ground but previous course and distance winner Lucky Di won off a higher mark last season and is worthy of a market check.
