A pretty weak handicap by Goodwood standards and Dannabelle is our selection ahead of Dark Moon and Muscari. John Quinn's six-year-old was an impressive winner over course and distance last month, before finding the extra furlong on the all-weather too taxing. With ground and trip back in her favour she could prove hard to beat. Dark Moon also disappointed on the artificial surface at Kempton last time but her previous run behind subsequent winner Air Biscuit stands out in this company. Not many of these come into this race at the top of their game, but Muscari is one that is in good form. She makes a quick return to the track following a game victory at Pontefract last week and another big run can be expected. Oakley Absolute would have a squeak on the pick of his form and looks the best of the rest, but Dannabelle has shown a real liking for this course and she gets our vote.
