Penitent has been highly tried this year but did have Professor behind when second to Gregorian in a Group 3 at Epsom on Oaks day. He would be the selection if the ground turned soft but BOOM AND BUST appears to be the one to beat on faster going. Third to Garswood in a Group 2 here last month, he had Libranno, Pastoral Player and Professor behind and also beat the latter when second over a mile at Salisbury last time. Lockwood only won a conditions race at Thirsk earlier this month and will find this a much tougher ask but Custom Cut is proven at this level and can't be ignored, despite the penalty.
