Verdict

DOUBLE BLUFF was obviously thought capable of winning first time out at Doncaster as Joe Fanning sent him on from the start. He didn't succumb to eventual winner Pupil until a furlong out then kept on well so today's extra furlong won't be a problem and he can go one better. Pack Leader put a moderate debut behind him with a fine run over a mile on this track where he was always in the firing line and only just failed to catch Madeed. He's certain to go well as is Tahadee, who has been running in decent company and has always looked as though he would be suited by a strong gallop, which he will get here. Zephyr didn't handle the testing ground at Sandown and wouldn't want any more rain.
