In depth

Verdict

Blue Monday, Weightless and Mountain High are the three to consider here and High Mountain is taken to peak here. Roger Charlton had a winner last week, but his string have not genrally been in top form, with a low winning strike rate. He saddles Blue Monday here, and last season's Cambridgeshire winner was just touched off at Ripon on his seasonal re-appearance. He will handle the ground and will be fitter this time, but the stable's form is a concern. Amanda Perrett's Weightless should not be left out of calculations. he won on his debut last season on similar ground, and was not disgraced in a better contest at Sandown last time behind Day Flight. The trainer has a 33% strike rate at the course this season, and saddled two winners last week, so this is one runner whose chance must be respected. Found wanting in Group company to date, Mountain High showed his ability when justifying favouritism on his seasonal bow at Headquarters. He has showed he can handle differing ground conditions and with his stable going extremely well, Mountain High is taken to maintain his unbeaten record this season.
