    Verdict

These are not exactly veterans as Pettochside won it as a six-year-old last year and is back for another crack. He continued in good form throughout the campaign and though 10lb higher than a year ago is by no means out of this. Joe Packet finished runner-up last year but only ran three times subsequently and has a long absence to overcome. The vote goes to ENGLISHMAN (NAP), who is only up 3lb for landing a better class handicap at Windsor but Diamond Lady is 5lb higher than when successful in a lower grade handicap on Polytrack at Lingfield. It's a very long time since Morache Music won a race though he's dropped in the weights as a consequence while Picture Dealer gained a shock victory in a Yarmouth Class 5 handicap and is 3lb higher. Pour La Victoire was well beaten here on Thursday in a race he won last year.
