In depth

Verdict

An open renewal but VADREAM should go close with a repeat of her earlier effort in the Jersey Stakes at Ascot when third behind higher-rated horses than these. The Haggas yard has won two of the last three renewals but the going is a worry for Nell Gwyn winner Sacred and it was fast ground when Irish filly Valeria Messalina was beaten only a neck in this last year. Highfield Princess and Bounce The Blues will handle the underfoot conditions but have been done no favours by the draw and the same comment applies to Lavender's Blue and Onassis, though the latter won a Listed race on heavy going over track and trip last autumn.
