In depth

Verdict

Alzammaar is a rare runner in Ireland for Warren Greatrex and the five-year-old has to be greatly respected after completing a double with a victory at Aintree last month. He looks certain to go well but the concession of 18lb to RISE OF AN EMPIRE may prove beyond him. Noel Meade's charge has found his form in no uncertain terms since racing on better ground and his two victories last month suggest he's got in lightly for his handicap debut. Jimmy Two Times stays this trip well as we saw at Fairyhouse last April when he landed a very competitive novices' handicap. He ran well over a trip too short at Punchestown and looks a threat. Jarob completed a hat-trick in the autumn and jumps and stays well while useful chaser Gold Patrol reverts to hurdles on an 8lb lower mark.
