Verawal won a maiden hurdle on fast ground in 2014 but has been well beaten when tackling softer conditions. Diamond Cauchois went up 12lb for winning a handicap at Thurles and didn't run badly at Fairyhouse on ground that proved too testing. Toushan has won twice over fences this winter and ran well to finish runner-up over hurdles at Thurles in January. He's on a fair mark back over timber and looks certain to get into contention though VICANGELOME may have his measure. He has a similar profile though landed a handicap over hurdles at Naas in January and has scored twice over fences this winter, form that just about gives him the edge. Railway Tommy hasn't won for a year and though he ran well behind Sonny B at Thurles connections won't be happy with a 3lb rise.
