In depth

Verdict

A trappy handicap here where Bookiesindex Boy, Misaro and Almaty Express are among those with chances and the vote goes to Misaro. Trip and surface suit Ron Harris's runner, who is on a decent mark still and remains competitive. The yard has just come into some form and he could represent a bit of value for us. Bookiesindex Boy was not beaten far behind the useful Dorn Dancer last time and handles the polytrack well, so he looks capable of going close once more from this mark. Lord Of The Reins was a good Kempton winner last time and is up 3lb. This is a tougher race though and he will do well to follow up. Almaty Express loves Wolverhampton but is worth a try here, though he needs a career best to score. Smokin Beau is not out of it, though Merlin's Dancer looks a bit high in the handicap, and we prefer Misaro today.
