Verdict

Canny Kool was raised 11lb for winning a handicap at Ripon last week but should go well again on these terms. But GRANDAD'S WORLD won a higher grade handicap at Pontefract last month and Richard Fahey's colt gets the nod with further progress expected. George Dryden also has a shout at the weights but has disappointed since finishing sixth in the Group 2 Flying Childers at Doncaster while Something Lucky is penalised for last year's wins in France. Mignolino looks best of the rest but has a bit to find with the principals if he is to figure.
