Verdict

Howards Princess looks the obvious choice in this weak event, Special Gold and Limonia may provide most danger. The selection is from a yard in form and she put in a terrific performance last time in a course and distance handicap. She kept on well to finish third behind Yorkshire Blue with ten stone on her back. This represents a drop in class and she looks the best option. Special Gold looked on the way back last time when third to Pomfret Lad in a similar race to this at Ripon and should not be far away. Nick Littmoden is also sending out a steady stream of winners and Limonia has been taking on better opposition recently. Ariesanne appears to have gone off the boil recently but in the pick of her form she would have a squeak, however Howards Princess has the best recent form on show and she gets our vote.
