In depth

Verdict

Plenty with claims in this but Cosmic Ray is upped 5lb having landed a double at Musselburgh and Gulf Of Poets has an 8lb hike to contend with as he also bids for a hat-trick. Fivehundredmiles beat subsequent winner Amy Blair here last month but another chance goes to David O’Meara’s charge, HARAZ, narrowly beaten off today’s mark at Beverley a week ago. Gerry The Glover also went close at the latter track recently while Toboggan's Fire drops in class and would appreciate any further softening of the ground.
