Verdict

Pickett is given the tentative nomination in a competitive nursery with Lindus Atenor, Mujood, Chase The Ace and Mr Rooney rated as the main dangers. The selection is from a yard that have been enjoying plenty of success this season and he won well at Ripon before narrowly getting beaten at Chester last time behind Silver Crest. His best form is over the minimum trip but if he sees out this extra furlong then he should go close. Lindus Atenor beat Campbeltown at Lingfield last time and has a 6lbs penalty for that success. However, Campbeltown hails form the same yard as our selection which will give them a useful form line with Lindus Atenor. Chase The Ace finished behind Mujood last time at Pontefract and the latter must have a good chance of following-up here. However, he gave the impression at Pontefract that he would be seen to his best over an extra furlong and for that reason he is opposed. Mr Rooney was a little disappointing at Beverely last time and tackles today's trip for the first time. He looks worth taking on at present and for the winner we will stick with Pickett.
