Verdict

Bint Aldar makes most appeal of those to have run, the daughter of Zoffany staying on solidly in the final furlong of a 6f Pontefract maiden, beaten just over a length in a bunch finish. She'll surely progress from that initial effort but there's a slight shadow over the form with only a couple of lengths separating the first six home. Candelisa and Mr Stravinsky showed enough on debut to suggest they have a future but Mark Johnston is enjoying a really good season with his juveniles and hopefully GALESBURG, a son of Shamardal, can make a winning debut. The trainer knows the family well having handled the sire and this could be another winning two-year-old for the Middleham outfit.
