Verdict

Split The Atom improved to finish runner-up on soft ground at Newcastle last time but Miami Carousel was still beaten four lengths when placed at Carlisle. Kevin Ryan and the Johnston yard have won four of the previous five renewals between them and the former's Seeking Approval should finish closer with a run at Redcar under her belt. But the latter's newcomer DISAVOW is a half-sister to a Group 1 winner in France and she may well be good enough to score at the first time of asking.
