Verdict

Persian Peril's winning run came to an end off today's mark at Redcar on his latest start, but recent Beverley winner Jonny Lesters Hair has claims if in the mood despite disappointing last time. Amazing Star has a bit to prove over today's longer trip, but Staff Sergeant has every chance if reproducing his second at Ayr back in May. Solar Spirit and I'm Super Too aren't out of this off their current marks and Ullswater may do better on his handicap debut but, in an open contest, the vote goes to MUFFIN MCLEAY. He ran out an impressive winner of his maiden over C&D in June and David Barron's yard remains in fine form.
