Verdict

HALE END has been running on softer ground and in better company this year. With cheekpieces added today, he is fancied to finally come good at the expense of last week’s penalised Brighton winner Mickey Mongoose and Obama Army, who has been very consistent and should be suited by this stiff mile. The others have some improving to do.
