        Verdict

        Royal Blade, Carrie's Magic and Sonny Red were in better form during the summer and last month's Lingfield turf winner Desert Icon is much more consistent. Logans Legend has been beaten too far in maiden company to have much confidence in and NORTHERN BOLT looks the safest option. He won a claimer here last month and scored on soft ground at Catterick in July. A repeat of either of those runs should see Ian McInnes' charge back in the winners' enclosure and he gets the vote.
