    Verdict

Bessemer is the proven performer at this level and should be capable of seeing off Simplify and Sound And Vision. A dual scorer at this level for tonight's trainer and jockey combination, this is likely to be one of Robert Winston's bankers this evening. Capable of dictating terms, the course winner really does look difficult to find fault with. Simplify ran a solid race on the all-weather behind Hunting Lodge a couple of weeks ago. That rival has gone on to run Able Baker Charlie to five lengths in a Newbury handicap since. Highly tried on the turf, his runs haven't quite matched up to those of our selection and we are prepared to oppose. Sound And Vision should really have beat Arnprior here over course-and-distance a couple of weeks ago. He tends to hang under pressure but is probably better at this trip than the twelve furlongs he was previously campaigned over. Jordans Spark is an Ian Semple cast-off who looks tailor made to go jumping. Kimberley Hall and Lady Predominant are very modest. Bessemer is at least in-form and should not be taken on.
