Verdict

Veloce beat Hallstatt by only a nose at Wolverhampton in March but the latter is better off at the weights today and has gone close again since. It's still a close call between that pair, however, and it could pay to look elsewhere in CHOOKIE HAMILTON. The latter scored at Lingfield earlier this year and Ian Semple's charge remains on a winning mark judged on his best form on Turf. Harvey's Hope was placed over hurdles earlier this month and could figure but the remainder are hard to fancy.
