Along The Nile has shown progressive form this term but the combination of a higher mark and a softer surface leaves Lynda Ramsden's gelding with more to do and preference is for Adoration, who gets the vote ahead of Intricate Web. The last mentioned has claims on form but seems to be plenty high enough in the weights at the age of nine and he may be best watched. Keeper's Lodge has shown signs of a revival of late and has to be considered under conditions that suit, while Tanzanite, who will relish the going, could probably do with being dropped a few pounds. Fair Shake is capable but inconsistent and of more interest may be Blonde Streak, who is gradually slipping to a fair mark. Restoration is less exposed than most of these and is another to consider along with Tim Easterby's Young Mr Grace, who has been given a chance by the handicapper and goes on the ground. The vote though goes to Mark Johnston's Adoration, who showed at Goodwood last time that his turn may not be far away and is proven with cut in the ground.
