A competitive sprint to close the card and the pin has picked out Aguila Loco. Well handicapped at best, he is with a very shrewd handler and has given the impression recently that he is coming to hand. As such, he is nominated as a sporting selection. Brioso's all-weather form would bring him into contention, while Kevin Darley is an eyecatching booking for the potentially well-handicapped Bryano de Bergerac. Hout Bay usually finds one or two too good for him but holds claims in this type of company, while Lady Pekan has to be given a chance if returning to the level of her juvenile form. With Fergal Lynch back on board, Loughlorien should give a good account of himself as the partnership teamed up to score at Beverley the time before that, and Mary Jane has been running well without winning of late but is another to add to the growing shortlist. Plenty in with chances but Aguila Loco gets the nod.
