Verdict

Mark Johnston runs four and all have a shout. Themaxwecan struggled in Group 2 company last time but finished runner-up at Doncaster before that when just ahead of stablemate Summer Moon. Sir Ron Priestley’s winning run came to an end in a tougher race at Ascot last time while Mind The Crack bids for a hat-trick after winning over 1m4f here on his handicap debut and there looks more to come over this longer trip. But the same can be said of ARCTIC FOX, who landed a hat-trick with last month’s victory at York and Richard Fahey’s progressive filly gets a tentative vote in an open affair. Prefontaine was narrowly beaten over today’s trip at Sandown earlier and both he and Tidal Point wear headgear for the first time today.
