Verdict

Veteran Beckermet could prove the pick of Ruth Carr's three runners over this trip but could still find this company a little too hot nowadays. Wannabe King has to go on the short-list after winning over a mile at Ayr last month while Zacynthus was only beaten half-a-length at Newmarket after beating last week's Kempton runner-up Mr David at Yarmouth in July. Nasri was caught right on the line at Newbury and should make a bold bid to go one better but Able Master was beaten five lengths when second at Newcastle and could be too high in the weights now. CAPE CLASSIC has been a little disappointing since winning at Windsor in May but didn't enjoy the run of the race behind Highland Colori at Newmarket last time and may be worth another chance to recapture the winning thread with Lord Aeryn probably best of the rest.
