    Verdict

Flak Jacket, Lake Verdi, Loughlorien, Its Ecco Boy, Bella Beguine and Tancred Times are the ones to focus on with the selection being Flak Jacket. The best-in on official ratings, David Nicholls' admirable charge is the only course and distance winner in the contest and comes here in good heart following a very good Goodwood effort. As such, that's good enough for us. The others mentioned all have form enough to suggest they can be competitive for placings at least, but Flak Jacket can withstand whatever shots they have to offer.
