    Verdict

There are likely to be plenty of winners to come out of this race and PERFECT LIGHT could be the pick of a strong pair from the William Haggas team. The Galileo filly won an above-average Redcar maiden last month, and having performed with credit in contests at Sandown and Newmarket, she can go on to better things. Idder has been a beaten favourite on his last two starts, but with Roger Varian's string in form, he isn't one to dismiss if the cheekpieces work the oracle. New Story dotted up in a Salisbury maiden whilst Fitzgerald makes an overdue return having missed a number of scheduled reappearances. Rising Breeze reacted positively the hood at Nottingham and Karl Burke's charge could still be potentially be well treated off today's mark. Watersmeet returns with a 6lb rise for victory over course and distance.
