ONYX OF ARABIA will have gone into plenty of notebooks after his running-on second to Bourne over C&D earlier this month. Brian Meehan's charge looks set to strike here and can confirm form with Quanah Parker, who was four lengths behind. Mcbirney appreciated every yard of the 1m4f when winning at Wolverhampton last time, but an 8lb rise looks a bit harsh and The Caped Crusader makes more appeal off only a 3lb higher mark than when winning at Chepstow in September. Visions Of Johanna is only 1lb higher than when winning this last year and Wood Fair is another to consider in an open contest.
