Oddsmaker, Best Of The Lot and Mae Cigan are three against the field in another wide-open affair and the narrow vote is given to Best Of The Lot. The selection was a fair fourth behind Esprit Des Corps last time out, that form has since been franked, and off the same mark under conditions that suit he looks the one to be on. Oddsmaker rates the main danger on his best form but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him last time and for that reason is opposed. Mae Cigan is another that could go well as she won with a little in hand last time when beating Dik Dik but she has yet to prove she stays this far and at likely odds she looks worth taking on. Karlani hails from a yard in top form and was a fair third behind Cape Secret but he looks very one-paced and may be seen to better effect over a longer trip. Duroob was second behind Jack Dawson and is another with place claims but his overall profile leaves him with a little to find. This is tricky and few can be ruled out but for the winner we return to Best Of The Lot.
