In depth

Verdict

Another tough race here fior punters with many in with chances on their best form but the principals look to be Knot In Wood, Stanley Goodspeed and Machinist and the narrow vote is given to Knot In Wood. The selection was a fair fifth behind Geojimali last time out, that horse has since won the Ayr Silver Cup and off the same mark and from a good draw he looks the one to be on. Stanley Goodspeed rates the main danger on his latest second behind Cape he gets the weight for age allowance and he should be closely monitored in the market. Machinist has dropped to a handy mark and was a fair second behind Grantley Adams last time but all his best form is on very fast ground and for thsat reason he is overlooked. Kenmore looks the stable's string on jockey bookings. Of the remainder Rising Shadow is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but as a concequence he gets no retpite fro the handicaper and with this in mind for the winner we return to Knot In Wood whose for looks rock solid
