Verdict

A terrific renewal but a difficult race to call with the likes of dual Group 2 winner Heartache, Prix Morny hero Unfortunately and Richmond Stakes winner Barraquero all returning to action. Invincible Army made a winning reappearance in a Group 3 at Ascot but found James Garfield too good in the Mill Reef at Newbury last term, The latter has subsequently won the Greenham and ran well in 2000 Guineas but a speculative vote goes to SANDS OF MALI. Richard Fahey’s colt ended last year with defeats at the highest level but won the Gimcrack at York earlier when beating Invincible Army in good style and arrives on the back of a winning reappearance at Chantilly last month.
