Turtle Valley looks the pick in a difficult finale while Spectroscope, Star Cross and Allinjim are the likeliest alternatives. Simon Dow's charge relishes the mud as he showed when trouncing his rivals by eight lengths over the course and distance when last seen out in May. The selection has been raised 7lb since but is still well treated on the pick of his old form and looks sure to give another good account with conditions once again in his favour. Spectroscope has proved a versatile performer by scoring on the Flat as well as over hurdles and should be sharper for his recent reappearance at York so can't be discounted off a fair mark. Star Cross will also appreciate the underfoot conditions but has been well beaten on all four starts this term and needs to improve while Allinjim is back on a favourable mark and enters calculations on his C&D win in June but Turtle Valley has solid credentials and looks the one to beat.
