In depth

Verdict

SILVER STEEL is in cracking form and can take the opener and complete a quickfire hat-trick, while Incorporation looks the one for the forecast. The selection won comfortably at Kelso in novices' handicap company and then followed up with a ready success at Uttoxeter under a penalty a couple of weeks ago. He carries an extra 6lbs as a result of that here, but he acts on the ground, jumps well and against some moderate opposition he looks up to it. Incorporation is now 5lbs better off with the selection for what amounted to two lengths at Uttoxeter, and although he acts on a sound surface he is at his best with cut. Unless the rains come in significant amounts, we will take him on again. My Condor carries a feather weight at a track where his yard's runners are often fully tuned up. He acts on decent ground and over this minimum trip, but his recent form does not mark him out as an obvious winner. Pilca looks the best of the other pair, but Silver Steel can complete a hat-trick.
