Verdict

Plenty with claims in the opener. Chiswick Bey went close at Pontefract recently and can figure while Cosmic Ray came out best in a tight finish at Nottingham last time with Adventureman beaten less than a length in fourth. PIVOTMAN took advanatge of a lower mark on Turf to win at Leicester on his latest start and remains 2lb lower than his latest success on the all-weather. Mick Easterby’s charge should make another bold bid and is also preferred to recent 6f winner Blue Jacket and Newcastle runner-up Overhaugh Street.
